Early Multi-Coloured 'Checkerboard' Ewe

Rare early c20th multicoloured version of a weft faced style of Ewe weaving that was called titriku, meaning ‘thick cloth,’ where the pattern was created solely by changing colours used for the weft, in this case to make square blocks along the woven strips.
