‘Battaglia Navale’ Umbrella Strand by Piero Fornasetti, c.1950
A highly decorative umbrella stand entitled ‘Battaglia Navale’ or ‘Battleships’ by Piero Fornasetti. Produced in the early 1950s, this umbrella stand is in excellent vintage condition and has a wonderful aged patina on the brass rim. This piece has it’s original drip-tray and is signed on the underside, ‘Fornasetti/Milano, Made in Italy’. Yet another exemplary piece from this master of creative design.
