1970s German Oval Erco Back Lit Lucite Illuminated Wall Mirror
Vintage German lucite/acrylic illuminated back lit oval wall mirror. Manufactured by Erco in the 1970s. The oval glass mirror sits within an unusual abstract, sculpted and textured moulded frame which reflects the light evenly throughout giving a warm and ambient glow around the glass mirror placed within.
A pull switch is fitted to the bottom of the mirror which allows it to be turned on and off easily at the wall if required. I would recommend hard wiring the mirror into the wall rather than having a wire hanging down to the plug socket. The mirror works well in most rooms of the home to add a certain wow factor or to make a space a bit different and interesting.
The frame is in good condition with two hairline cracks as shown in the images which aren't visible when the mirror is slotted into place. The mirror has a curved scratch and is slightly discoloured. It can be replaced if required at an additional cost of £65.00.
The mirror holds six E14 small screw in light bulbs placed in different directions so the light falls evenly through the frame. Rewired and in full working condition. Maximum 6 x 25 W.
