Vintage 1960s Cobalt Blue Holmegaard "Viking" Carafe
A wonderful deep-coloured cobalt blue carafe, flask or decanter from Danish glassmaker - Holmegaard Glasværk's "Viking" series. The glass around the neck is iridescent in colour. Designed by Ole Winther in 1955 and produced from 1962 but discontinued in the 1970s. The carafe features a Viking head with a crown, large moustache and beard embossed seal with a circle surrounding it.
In very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or nibbles. There is a raised thin line running down either side which is part of the glass blowing process.
