1960s Italian Murano triangular sommerso cobalt blue and clear decorative art glass bowl. The dark blue centre reflects against the clear glass giving the illusion it’s pale blue. Perfect for a glass shelf or on a coffee table. A great wedding or birthday gift.
The submerged technique of different coloured glass is known as the sommerso technique. Sommerso is a technique which involves layering different colours of glass on top of each other and then fusing them together. This creates a depth of color and a swirling effect that is often seen in Murano glass.
In good vintage condition with one tiny chip on the exterior and the base is slightly scratched.
