The art pieces comprise: ‘Past the Post’ (1987), and ‘Down to the Start’ (1987).

Each artwork is signed, titled, framed (measuring 70.5 x 57.5cm), and has a Francis Kyle Gallery label to verso. Neither has been inspected out of the frame.

Jake Sutton is celebrated for his dynamic equestrian scenes, where expressive brushwork conveys the atmosphere and immediacy of the racecourse. He often uses strong brushwork and vibrant colour contrasts to capture the speed, atmosphere, and energy of sporting scenes. Stylistically, his work leans toward modern figurative expressionism, balancing recognisable subject matter with painterly abstraction.
