Assistant Manager at Alfies Antique Market

Alfies Antique Market is looking for a friendly and dynamic individual to join us as an Assistant Manager.

This position offers a variety of responsibilities, ensuring no two days are the same.

The ideal candidate will be well-organized, proactive, and a true people person who thrives in a small team environment.

This is a full-time permanent position – 10 am to 6 pm, Tuesdays to Saturdays.

Salary: £30,000 per year


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Community engagement:

Fostering a warm and friendly relationship with our large community of antique dealers

Helping to create weekly informational newsletters for our community of dealers

Organising and promoting community events to strengthen connections and showcase our dealers’ offerings

Marketing support:

Play a key role in events organisation from our annual antique fair to festive celebrations

Website management – helping to run our new website, updating content, and writing engaging blog posts

Assist in planning and executing marketing projects

General administration:

Creating purchase orders

Creating and updating shop licenses

Providing administrative support to the manager

Manning the office phone line and post deliveries

Facilitating touring perspective dealers around shops to let

Building management and maintenance:

Help to oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of the premises

Supervise that fire and safety regulations are met building-wide

Liaise with contractors for necessary repairs and improvements

Liaise with our maintenance team regarding projects and repairs

– Excellent office admin sufficiency

– Works well under pressure

– Thrives in a small team dynamic

– A flexible and adaptable approach to projects

– An understanding of digital marketing tools such as Adobe and Canva

– A good understanding of organisational tools such as Excel
